Incorporating the accredited Early Years Learning Framework,  Pre-Kinder and Kindergarten children (ages 3-5) are entertained and educated through song,  dance, play and storytelling  to share the Ten Little Pieces philosophy, leaving them feeling empowered and motivated to take care of the places they love to play.

In these action packed 60 minute sessions, children learn about the hydrosphere, the origins and impacts of plastic pollution and what they can do to help protect our sea creatures and oceans with an overview of Ocean Literacy Principles.

Through a hands-on beach rumble and exploration of organic and inorganic materials we open conversations on source reduction options and reusable alternatives to single use plastics. The presentation includes a safety first discussion.

Bonus extension materials and exercises are provided to explore our connection to the earth through art, reflection and game play reinforcing that every one of us can make a difference through our choices and actions.

This 90 minute interactive presentation mixes marine debris education with entertainment to present facts matched with empowering sentiments. Students are encouraged to recognize their ability to minimise  their consumption and maximize their individual and collective action impact to create cultural ripples of change through their school, their families and the wider community.

Diving deeper into the devastating environmental and health consequences of plastic pollution, students are presented with honest facts about the challenges our oceans are facing as well as the inescapable truth that our choices have consequences.

Through a hands-on Exploring Microplastics activity, students see first-hand the difficulties of ocean clean up activities. This refocuses attention on upstream solutions including source reduction and regenerative activities.  There is so much hope, and students emerge feeling empowered and inspired to take action to protect and preserve the places they love.

School assemblies are a marvellous opportunity to inspire whole community awareness through education that leads to change.

The origins of the Ten Little Pieces empowerment movement and it's continually growing reach across the globe provides the back drop to the illustration of the scope of the plastic pollution crisis, the health of our oceans and the imperative of climate action.

The role of each and every student in effecting the changes necessary starts with awareness of the problems our earth is facing. All the knowledge in the world means very little without action, and students emerge inspired to identify pathways forward in their own

fields of influence.

*Plastic Pollution Life Cycle

*Grassroots Activism - The Ripple Effect

*Handling Eco-Anxiety and Overwhelm
